The forehead and brow are often the first areas of the face to display signs of aging. Deep forehead wrinkles, frown lines, brow furrows, and sagging eyebrows can be corrected with a brow and forehead lift. The goal of this procedure is to give a refreshed appearance and to restore a youthful position and shape to the eyebrows.
Dr. Weiss performs the majority of his brow and forehead lifts endoscopically with small incisions made behind the hairline. An endoscope, which is a pencil-like camera device connected to a television monitor, is inserted through one of the incisions. This allows Dr. Weiss to visualize the muscles and tissues beneath the skin and to mark the small muscles that create the deep furrows in the forehead. Dr. Weiss then uses another instrument to lift the forehead skin and alter the underlying tissues to create a smoother position. Also, the eyebrows are lifted and placed into a higher position.
